FrontPage 2002 Software Development Kit (SDK)

The Software Development Kit (SDK) for Microsoft FrontPage 2002 is now available for download. This SDK contains not only basic help to get you started developing solutions to use with FrontPage but also many articles and samples that you can use for creating your own custom solutions.

Here's a sampling of what is included in the SDK:

Getting Started. This section provides basic assistance to get you started on the road to FrontPage development. Check it out if you've never programmed for FrontPage but understand development in other Microsoft Office applications; are an experienced Web developer but have never worked with FrontPage; or have used FrontPage but want to know how to tweak it to do special tricks. You'll find basic programming concepts, plus topics such as "Using FrontPage as your Web development platform," and "Understanding the differences between the FPHTML and IHTML Objects."
Developing Solutions. This section provides detailed descriptions and instructions on how to create macros, FrontPage Components, add-ins, and Web Components?a new technology included with FrontPage 2002. You'll also find other tools to help you create your own solutions that extend FrontPage's functionality.

Solution Gallery. In this section, you'll find samples for manipulating the FrontPage object models. Some of these take you into the FrontPage object models and explain certain features.
Finding Assistance. If you need additional resources for developing custom solutions, you'll find many Microsoft resources in this section.
Add-in Center. Lastly, the Add-in Center is the place to visit if you're looking for a solution or want to show off one of your own.
