The Port MonitorÔäó application is a dedicated security tool designed for monitoring and controlling all hardware connection events that may occur in the configuration of a computer, itÔÇÖs either a standalone computer or part of a company LAN.

The concept behind the application is to ensure ports security by providing two types of protection: passive protection - by monitoring and signaling all device connection events to the system or network administrator - and active protection - by blocking the functioning of a certain peripheral until the access password is confirmed by the administrator. More than that, advanced monitoring settings allow full customization based on device types, time intervals and users profiles.

Once installed on a computer, Port MonitorÔäó retrieves the complete hardware configuration list as registered by the operating system and permanently monitors all hardware devices found in the configuration list, especially the connection ports. Once a device connection occurs, Port MonitorÔäó blocks the functioning of that device until the access password is confirmed.
